Are you ready to turn advocacy into action?

The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio is a public foundation fiercely committed to gender equality. March 1, Women’s History month will kick off at Statehouse Day: HerStory, with our statewide co-hosts as we convene with women and men from across the state and turn advocacy into action.

Morning: EDUCATE
8:00 am – Registration and light refreshments
9:00am – 11:15am

You will spend the morning hearing from policymakers and community leaders on why issues promoting women's economic empowerment benefit society; by hearing from experts and through audience-interactive panels.  Exchange ideas, policy solutions, and strategies and end the morning with a session on how to speak with your legislator.

11:40am - Break

Lunch: MOTIVATE
11:30 Lunch registration
12:00-1:30pm - Lunch

Guest speaker is Lilly Ledbetter, the woman at the center of the historic discrimination case that inspired the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act. Hear about her fight for equal rights in the workplace, and how her determination became a victory for the nation.

Afternoon: ADVOCATE
1:30 - 3:00pm - Scheduled Meetings with Legislators
Equipped and ready; you will spend the afternoon meeting with elected officials as change-makers influencing policy.
